Daniel Olsen has been a lifelong resident of Northern California and a Sacramento area resident for 16+ years. He attended DeLaSalle High School in Concord, CA where he was an accomplished distance runner on their nationally ranked cross-country and track teams
After high school Dan attended UC Davis and graduated with a double major in Economics and Communications. While attending UC Davis and for several years after, Dan worked as a member of the Mendocino Hot Shots, an elite wildland firefighting group. Eventually, Dan attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he graduated with an emphasis in trial advocacy.
While in law school, Dan was one of the few selected to be a law clerk for the San Francisco District Attorney’s office, where he worked in the Felony Preliminary Hearing and Major Narcotics units. In addition to working in San Francisco, he also interned for the Sacramento District Attorney’s office in the Misdemeanor, Juvenile, and Domestic Violence units.
After graduating from law school, Dan was a sworn Deputy District Attorney in Sacramento County. While working there he conducted numerous jury and bench trials.
In 2010, Dan left the DA’s office to open his own law firm. He expanded his practice in 2012 by apprenticing with a high end estate planning firm in the Sacramento area, and upon completion of his apprenticeship has continued to serve professionals in Sacramento in the areas of estate planning, business formation, and debt collection.
